PRICING POLICY
- We charge 53% of the publisher’s cover price. For example, if a book is marked on the cover as $7.99, we will price the book at $4.23.
TRADE-IN CREDIT
- Customers receive 15% of the cover price of a book for in-store credit. A credit slip will be issued. Using the example above, if you return a book marked at $7.99, you will be given an in-store credit of $1.20. Starting 2/1/2024, the in-store credit was reduced from 21% to 15% due to an increase in store expenses.
- Credit slips are dated and can be used for up to one year from the date issued. No credit slips older than one year will be accepted; however, if a customer used a portion of the credit before the expiration date, we will issue another credit slip with a new expiration date.
- Paperback/softcover books can be brought in for trade-in credit regardless of where they were bought, but books must be intact, not torn, moldy, or defaced (e.g. no highlighting or doodling), and in generally good condition. Please remove all garage sale stickers. We do not take hardcover books.
- We reserve the right to refuse books due to age, overstock, subject matter, and management discretion.
- Please call ahead if trading more than one box of books at a time.
- ROMANCE BOOKS: Due to an overstock of Romance books, we will not be taking Romance books until further notice. We hope to be able to take Romance books in the future.
PURCHASE POLICY
- All purchases must be paid with at least 50% out-of-pocket (cash, credit/debit card, or check). A maximum of 50% store credit can be used at one time. For example, you have a credit slip worth $20.00. You buy a book priced at $10.00. You would pay $5.00 out-of-pocket and use $5.00 of in-store credit. Or you have a credit slip worth $20.00. You buy $30.00 worth of books. You would pay $15.00 out-of-pocket and use $15.00 worth of credit.
- All sales are final.
- All returned checks will be subject to a $25.00 handling fee.
CREDIT/DEBIT CARD POLICY
- Credit and Debit card purchases are subject to a 4% surcharge as required by our provider.
RESERVED BOOKS
- When we have a book you are looking for or get it in, we will call you and hold the book for you for one week.
