Socially Responsible and Eco-Friendly

Paperback Book Palace is a Socially Responsible Business

With our primary business being a bookseller, Paperback Book Palace tries to carry a diverse selection of books for all readers.  We have books for adults, children, and young adults, books that represent different ethnic groups, and a variety of audio books and large print books for customers with visual impairments.

Our store also donates overstock books and hardcover books that we do not sell to a variety of organizations, and we host events with community organizations.  It is important for us to give to our community so that everyone has the opportunity to read.

During the holiday season, we donate some children/young adult books to Christmas Anonymous in Rochester, Minnesota.  We also give hardcover novels to the veterans living at the Veterans Home in Hastings, Minnesota and thank them for their service.

Other organizations that have received donations of books from us include:

  • Benedictine-Madonna Towers, Rochester, MN
  • Cottagewood Senior Communities, Rochester, MN
  • Friends of the Library, Rochester, MN
  • Gage East Apartments, Rochester, MN
  • Jeremiah Program, Rochester, MN
  • Kasson Public Library, Kasson, MN
  • Mantorville Art Guild, Mantorville, MN
  • Pine Haven Community, Pine Island, MN
  • RideAbility, Pine Island, MN
  • RosePointe Senior Living, Roseville, MN
  • State Services for the Blind, Rochester, MN

We Strive to Be an Eco-Friendly Business

Paperback Book Palace tries to keep books out of the landfill by reselling used books to the general public.  Any overstock books or hardcover books that we cannot sell in our store are donated to a variety of organizations.  We also recycle paper, bottles, and boxes, and strive to generate minimal waste in our business.

Our store reuses plastic and paper bags and gift bags.  These bags are handy for carrying books!
